7mm Laminate Flooring
7mm laminate flooring is one of the thinnest types of laminate flooring that we sell. The flooring itself is made in the same way as any other Quick-Step laminate flooring; a protective surface layer, a high resolution picture of the chosen type of floor, and a high density fibre board base. This creates a strong and durable plank of flooring. The total thickness of the flooring is 7mm, and once installed the only part you will see is the top of the flooring.
Why should I choose 7mm thick laminate flooring?
7mm thick laminate is a popular choice with homeowners and is perfect for almost any room. The flooring itself has an anti-scratch surface layer which will help to reduce scuffs and damage from daily wear and tear. All of Quick-Steps 7mm laminate flooring is water resistant, but if you are looking to have the flooring in a bathroom or utility room then be sure to choose one the laminate floors from the waterproof range.
Another reason to choose 7mm laminate flooring is that it can be used with underfloor heating. It has been designed to ensure that the heat from underneath is sufficiently transferred to your laminate floor without causing any damage.
A thinner plank of flooring does not mean it is an inferior product, it is just a different size to suit your needs. The same quality and exceptional finish haven been applied to all thicknesses of laminate flooring.
Within the range of 7mm laminate flooring you will find a variety of different colours, styles and patterns of flooring so there is sure to be something you will fall in love with.
How do I maintain 7mm laminate hardwood flooring?
Caring for and maintaining the beauty of any laminate floor is extremely easy if you remember to follow these two simple steps:
• Sweep on a daily basis to remove dust and dirt
• Clean on a weekly basis (more often if needed) with a wooden floor cleaner to remove stubborn stains
There are also some things you can do to prevent damage to your laminate floor:
1. Apply felt protector pads to the bottom of furniture
2. Remove all outdoor or spikey (e.g. football boots or stiletto heels) footwear before walking on your floor
3. Wipe away any liquid spills or accidents as soon as you notice them
