Overview
Bona Oil Soap is a slightly alkaline, concentrated cleaner designed for cleaning floors that have been treated with Bona Craft Oil and Bona Craft Oil 2K. It nourishes the surface and leaves a thin film that can be buffed for increased shine.
Alternatively, floors coated with Bona Craft Oil or Craft Oil 2K can be cleaned with Bona Oiled Floor Spray Mop, which can then be topped up with Bona Oil Soap and the appropriate dilution of water.
Please note: This product was previously called 'Bona Soap'.
Preparation
Remove any loose dust or grit from floors using a vacuum cleaner or dry mop prior to cleaning with Bona Oil Soap.
Application
- Shake the container well
- Dilute 100ml of Bona Oil Soap in 5 litres of water
- Clean along the grain using a well wrung-out lint-free cloth or Bona floor mop
- For very dirty floors, the use of a buffing machine with a green pad is recommended
- If a glossier surface is required, the floor can be dry buffed
- The best results are obtained using a buffing machine (300 revs/minute) and a red or white pad
Please Note: It is important that the amount of water used to clean the floor is kept to a minimum. Wooden floors should never be soaked with water as this can damage the finish.
