What is click fitting hardwood flooring?

Click fitting hardwood is simply wooden flooring planks that have a specially designed click and lock fitting system.  The edges of your planks with have interlocking joints, which you can simply click together.  The planks of flooring have been specifically manufactured to provide you with a simple and straight forward installation process.  They beauty is that there is no mess from glue or nails!

 

How to install click fitting hardwood?

The easiest and most common way to install click fitting hardwood is to float it over an underlay.  The planks of flooring simply click together and lock into place over the underlay.  There is no need to fix the floor to the underlay, it just sits on top.  The click fitting system provides and tight and secure fit, so that your floor will look beautiful and gap free. Alternatively, you can also glue the flooring down directly to your subfloor if you prefer not to use an underlay.  Please note that you should never install click fitting hardwood flooring over joists as it is not strong and stable enough to withstand the pressure; it must have a solid base underneath it.
