It is really easy to keep your LVT floor clean. LVT is short for Luxury Vinyl Tiles. In recent years they have become really popular due to their durability, authentic appearance and easiness to keep clean. You won’t need any expensive cleaning products or a lengthy maintenance process.
Quick guide on how to keep my LVT floor clean
All you need to do is follow these simple steps:
Firstly, you will want to try and prevent your floor from accumulating dirt. To do this, you could place door mats at all entrance doors. This will help to catch any excess water or dirt from your shoes. You may also want to ask visitors to remove their footwear before walking in your LVT.
Secondly you will want to adopt a regular cleaning routine. This won’t be time consuming if you keep on top of it. We recommend sweeping your floor (or use a suitable vacuum cleaner) on a daily or regular basis. This will simply remove any dirt, dust, crumbs or pet hair from the surface of the floor.
Next, you should clean the floor with a suitable cleaning product. How often you do this will depend on how much footfall your floor gets. We would recommend using Bona Tile and Laminate Spray Mop. It has everything you will need, all built into one product: a spray mop with refillable cleaning solution and a removable microfibre cleaning pad.
Finally, just be mindful about your flooring. It is fairly resilient and hard wearing but you will want to wipe away any spills or obvious dirt when you see it. This will just help to keep your floor looking fresh and new.
