LVT flooring is a Luxury Vinyl Tile, which we think is fantastic for any style or size of home.  It is quickly becoming a popular alternative to hardwood or laminate flooring because of its robust and durable nature.  Furthermore, you will find that LVT is extremely versatile and can be used in any room in your home, and even throughout commercial properties.

 

What are the main advantages of LVT?

Durability – firstly, it is a really durable and hardwearing floor covering. The surface layer is designed to protect the floor and has a built it scratch and stain guard.  You will find that it may also dent less that a wooden floor alternative.

Waterproof – some types of LVT flooring are waterproof. Make sure you check this when buying your floor.  The waterproof options are great for bathrooms and other wet areas, like utility rooms and kitchens.

Choice of designs – the options are almost endless. The main designs are created to mimic the look of wood, ceramic tile or stone floors.

Underfloor heating compatible – it is also a perfect companion for underfloor heating. It allows sufficient transfer of heat through to the surface, whilst maintaining its structure.

Easy to look after – you will find LVT easy to look after and care for. Simply sweep and mop which will remove dust, dirt and stains.

Cost effective – LVT is much more cost effective than wooden flooring or tiles. You are still getting a beautiful floor, but without the cost of a natural product.

 

What does LVT look like?

LVT is a great flooring choice with many options of colours and styles.  The idea behind LVT flooring is that it is designed to mimic the appearance of wood, stone or ceramic tile.  These designs are all very authentic and look realistic.  The floor itself is made from multiple layers, a design layer and topped with a high impact transparent protective layer.
