Should I get a flooring sample?

The simple answer is yes.  We would recommend that you always order some samples of the flooring that you are interested in.  Buying a new floor is a really important decision and you want to make sure that you choose the correct colour, style and size of flooring.

There are hundreds of different types of flooring to choose from, and by ordering some samples you can look at the floor in your own home, match it against your décor and have time to think about your choices.

What is a flooring sample?

A flooring sample is a small section of a plank of flooring.  We have flooring samples for all of our different types of floors.  It allows you to look at the colour, grain pattern, fitting system, texture and surface finish of the wooden floor. Why not order your free flooring samples today?

How many flooring samples should I order?

Once you have thought about the colour and style of flooring that you want, have a look at our website to narrow down your search.  For example, you may know that you want a pale coloured engineered floor, or an Oak parquet block. We have over 60 floors in these two categories.  Have a look through and choose your favourites based on colour, size and surface finish and then order between 3-5 samples.  This should allow you to decide whether any of them are suitable.  If not, you can always order some more.

Will my floor look exactly like the flooring sample?

All of our samples are a great representation of the final floor, but they are only a small example of what the finished floor will look like.  Wood is a natural product and will contain slight differences of colour and grain pattern throughout.  So, the sample will give you a general idea of colour and pattern, but you should be aware that your final flooring could have natural variances.
