Laminate flooring is really easy to keep clean.  All you need to do is keep up with a simple cleaning routine consisting of sweeping and mopping.  You will notice that most laminate floors are relatively durable, but you still need to keep on top of a cleaning routine to keep them looking fresh and new.  If you are not sure which products to use, or how often you should be cleaning, then you are in the right place!  Here are a few tips and some handy advice to keep you on track.

How to clean my laminate floor

The best way to clean your laminate floor is to sweep on a regular basis and follow this with a cleaning product when needed.  Our general advice is to sweep on a daily basis to remove the surface dust and dirt.  You can then follow this up with a cleaning product, like a floor cleaning solution, on a less regular basis.  Depending on your circumstances you may want to do this once a week.  It will freshen up the surface of you laminate and leave you with peace of mind that it is clean and hygienic. Obviously, all households are different and have different levels of footfall.  If you have pets, you may want to clean your laminate flooring more often to get rid of paw prints.  Also, if you floor is in a really busy area of your home (hallways or kitchens), then you may need to sweep and clean more often too. Even different times of the year can make a difference, for example, in the autumn and winter (or wetter periods) you may want to clean more regularly if you floor noticeable becomes dull and dirty.
