How is three strip flooring made?
The top layer, or wear layer, is the part that you see once it has been installed is made from a chosen species of wood. The base layers of the three strip flooring are the same as any other engineered hardwood; a plywood base glued to the bottom of the wear layer or a 3-ply block construction which has a plywood base and middle layer of Hevea or Eucalyptus which is glued perpendicular to the grain of the wear layer. It can also be use in areas and rooms where temperature and humidity fluctuate, such as; rooms with underfloor heating, kitchens, conservatories and rooms with large amount of glazing.
