Pre-finished hardwood flooring means that it has already had protective top layers of oil or lacquer applied to it during the manufacturing stage of production. This means that as soon as it has been installed it is ready to walk on as it has already been stained and sealed to protect it from daily wear and tear and other damage.
Pre-finished hardwood flooring is a great choice as there are still a wide range of different wood species, plank sizes, stains and finishes to choose from. The installation process is quicker and more straight forward than an unfinished floor, and there will be no harsh fumes from stains, lacquers or oils being applied.
