Hardwood flooring can be quick and easy to maintain and look after if you follow these three simple steps:
1. Clean your floor on a regular basis.
This involves sweeping daily with a soft brush and cleaning with a PH neutral wooden floor cleaning spray and microfibre mop on a weekly basis, or more often if needed.
2. Use felt protector pads on the bottom of all furniture to prevent scratches.
Place doormats at entrance doors and ask people to remove outdoor footwear before walking on your hardwood floor.
3. Wipe up any water spills or accidents immediately
This will prevent and liquid from soaking into your flooring and causing water damage.
Remember: Do not use a steam mop, a wet mop or any harsh, abrasive, oily or waxy products to clean you hardwood floor.
