We love how our customer has used our Oak parquet block flooring in his elegant and traditional style home.    The flooring has been installed in a herringbone pattern and runs throughout the ground floor of his home.

What is parquet block Oak?

Parquet block Oak flooring is a type of wooden floor that is made into smaller blocks rather than longer planks.  With these small blocks you can create beautiful geometric patterns, including herringbone, basket weave and brick bond.  In addition, these patterns can really transform any space into an elegant and sophisticated space. This particular type of flooring is Engineered and Smoked Oak Parquet Block.

The engineered planks are made with an Oak top layer which has been lightly smoked to give a deeper, rich brown colour. The surface has also been lightly brushed to highlight and expose the natural beauty of the Oak grain.  You then have the oil protection added to this so that the flooring is ready to use as soon as it has been installed. The blocks need to be glued down and have a simple tongue and groove fitting profile.  Consequently you get a tight and secure fit.

Here, our customer has installed the flooring in a herringbone style.  This is the most popular and traditional pattern created with parquet block.  It looks amazing in this traditional style dining room.

Depending on your décor and furnishings, parquet flooring can suit any style of room.  Furthermore, it can add style and touch a of sophistication to a modern or contemporary home.  Oak itself is timeless and matches itself well to any colour scheme.  In addition, it can last a lifetime if you look after it properly.
