Lacquered Solid Wood Flooring

By lacquering the solid wood flooring, it adds strength and protective layers to help the floor to deal with daily wear and tear and it makes it easier to clean and maintain.  Solid hardwood flooring which has been lacquered has already had protective top coats added to the planks of flooring, so is ideal for anyone that wants to use the flooring as soon as it has been installed, as it will be ready to walk on as soon as the installation process is complete.

Installing Solid Lacquered flooring is the same as installing any type of solid wood floor with a tongue and groove profile.  As the planks of flooring are made from a solid piece of wood, they will need to be fixed into position during installation.  The tongues and grooves need to be glued together using a wood flooring adhesive and then the floor also needs to be fixed directly down to the subfloor.  For further information on installing hardwood floors, see our Installation and Fitting Guide.

Why should I choose lacquered flooring?

A lacquered hardwood floor is a perfect choice if you are looking for a floor that already has the surface protected and strengthened, whilst maintaining the beauty and charm of the grain pattern of the wood.  All types of solid hardwood flooring are a fantastic investment as they provide any home with a classic and timeless floor covering.
