Brushed and Oiled Solid Wood Flooring

Brushed and oiled wood flooring has a classic, timeless appeal that would complement almost any room in a property.  This particular type of hardwood has been brushed to reveal more character and natural qualities of the wood, and then finished with top layers of oil to protect the flooring from daily wear and tear.  Solid flooring with a brushed and oiled finish offers a rustic feel with a matt appearance, which helps the flooring to look as natural and traditional as possible in order to add character and warmth to your room.

As with all solid wood flooring, the planks of wood need to be glued together (in the tongues and grooves using a flooring adhesive) and it would need to be fixed down to your subfloor by nailing, screwing or using flexible flooring adhesive. For further information and advice about how to lay hardwood floors, please see our Installation and Fitting Guide.

Why should I choose solid brushed and oiled flooring?

The brushed and oiled surface means that the flooring has kept its natural appearance whilst being protected so that it is ready to walk on as soon as the installation process is complete.  Solid hardwood flooring is a great investment, offers a timeless, classic appeal and it has a number of benefits in terms of durability and ease of maintenance.  For more information please see the Advantages of Hardwood Flooring.
