If you have decided to have laminate flooring in your home then you are more than likely going to need some laminate flooring underlay.  There are different types of underlay that you could use, depending upon your requirements.  Quick-step laminate underlay is one of the most well known and popular brands when it comes to laminate flooring and accessories.  An underlay generally acts as a cushion between your existing floor and your new laminate floor.  It helps to give protection and support to your floor.  It can also act as a thermal barrier or help with soundproofing, depending upon your requirements and the type of underlay that you choose.

What is Quick-step laminate?

As mentioned already, Quick-step is a brand of laminate flooring.  It is well established and produces very high quality, cost effective laminate flooring. It has a High Density Fibreboard base and a high resolution picture of the flooring laminated onto the surface. The flooring is durable, easy to install, compatible with underfloor heating and scratch resistant.  Quick-step laminate flooring is available in a wide range of different styles, sizes and colours.

Why choose Quick-step laminate underlay?

Within our range of Quick-step laminate underlay you have a few different choices available.  Your final decision will depend upon the requirements of your room.  For example: Do you have underfloor heating? Would you like thermal resistance? Are you keen on soundproofing? It is very important to remember that the colour or thickness of the underlay does not make any difference to sound or heat transfer.  If you want thermal insulation from your Quick-step laminate underlay then look out for the tog rating.  Alternatively if you want sound proofing qualities then you should check the decibel rating.
