1 Strip Engineered Wood Flooring

1 Strip engineered flooring is extremely versatile and durable and is the most popular type of hardwood flooring around. Multi layers of plywood and then hardwood on the surface help give extra strength and stability. Installation over underlay, underfloor heating and use in rooms such as kitchens and conservatories is fully warranted.

1 strip flooring refers to the single plank of hardwood that is used on the surface layer of the the board.  The single plank structure refers to the whole width of the plank and consists of one solid wood piece on top. Our 3 strip flooring has been split into 3 narrower strips of hardwood across the width of the plank . 1 strip flooring allows the natural beauty of the knots and grain pattern to be evident. It would be almost impossible to tell the difference between 1 strip engineered flooring and solid wood flooring once laid.

Why should I choose engineered 1 strip flooring?

1 strip engineered flooring is available in a range of wood types, surface finishes and comes with either a traditional tongue and groove or click fit profile. The engineered construction also allows longer and wider planks. With all of these options, there is sure to be something in our range that is perfect for you.

If you are still unsure of which style of flooring to choose, have a look at our Wood Flooring Guide, which offers more information on the structure, profile and finish of our hardwood floors.
